Hansjörg Otto

Hansjörg Otto (* 23. May 1938 in Oldenburg (Oldb) ) is a German lawyer and emeritus professors .

Life

Otto passed his Abitur at the Ulricianum in Aurich in 1958 and then studied law in Tübingen and Hamburg . After the first state examination in law in 1962, he worked as a research assistant for Eduard Bötticher . The Great State Exam he graduated in 1967 and in 1970 at the University of Hamburg for Dr. iur. PhD. In 1977 he completed his habilitation as a research assistant to Albrecht Zeuner and received the license to teach in the subjects of civil law , civil procedural law and labor law . After holding a professorship at the Georg-August University in Göttingen and working as a scientific adviser and professor in Bonn , he was full professor for civil law and labor law at the Georg August University from 1979. At the same time Otto became director of the department for social law at the institute for labor law. He turned down a call to Marburg in 1986. In Göttingen he was dean of the law faculty from 1987 to 1988 and a member of the academic senate from 1995 to 2005. In 2006 Otto retired .

Hansjörg Otto is married and has two sons.
