Rüdiger Krause (legal scholar)

Rüdiger Krause (born July 30, 1961 in Faßberg ) is a German lawyer and university professor .

Life

Rüdiger Krause studied law at the Free University of Berlin and the Georg-August University of Göttingen from 1981 to 1987 and passed the first state examination in 1987 . From 1988 to 1990 he was a trainee lawyer in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Celle and passed the second state examination in 1990.

He then worked from 1991 to 2001 at the Institute for Labor Law at the Georg-August University in Göttingen , initially as a research assistant and later as a temporary academic advisor. In 1994 he was with the magazine "legal force extension in the collective labor law" for Dr. jur. PhD . 2001 it was because of the Habilitation with Scripture "employees in companies" the teaching license for Civil Law , Civil Procedure Law , Labor Law and Commercial and Business Law awarded.

In 2005 he was offered a professorship at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, which he followed in 2006 and has held the chair for civil law and labor law there ever since.

He declined offers to the University of Osnabrück (2006) and the Free University of Berlin (2015). Krause was appointed by Harvard Law School as a member of an International Advisory Group, which is to develop policy recommendations for a legal reorganization of the balance between employer and employee interests in the USA by 2020 .
