Igor Marenić (born January 2, 1986 in Mali Lošinj ) is a Croatian sailor .
successes
Igor Marenić took part in three Olympic Games with Šime Fantela in the 470 dinghy . In 2008 , they finished ninth in Beijing , and four years later they finished sixth. At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , they finished the regatta in first place with 43 points in front of the Australian and Greek boats and thus became Olympic champions .
At world championships he won seven medals with Šime Fantela with the 470 dinghy. In addition to three bronze and two silver medals, they became world champions in Copenhagen in 2009 and San Isidro in 2016 . They also became multiple European champions in the 470 dinghy.
