Marcos Pinto Rizzo Soares (born February 16, 1961 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a former Brazilian sailor .
successes
Marcos Soares took part in the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow in the 470 dinghy . Together with Eduardo Penido , he took first place ahead of Jörn Borowski and Egbert Swensson as well as Jouko Lindgren and Georg Tallberg . They became Olympic champions with a total of 36.4 points .
