Luc Camille Fernand Pillot (born July 10, 1959 in Bar-sur-Seine ) is a former French sailor .
successes
Luc Pillot took part in the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles and 1988 in Seoul in the 470 dinghy with Thierry Peponnet . With 49.4 points, the two reached third place in 1984 behind the Spanish and the US boat, with which they won the bronze medal. Four years later they finished the regatta with 34.7 points in first place of the field of participants and thus became Olympic champions ahead of Tõnu and Toomas Tõniste as well as Charles McKee and John Shadden . As early as 1985 were Pillot and Peponnet in Carrara vice world champion before them the following year in Salou succeeded in winning the title. In 1986 and 1988 they became European champions.
At the 2003 Louis Vuitton Cup , Pillot was the skipper of the Le Defi Areva team .
