Mark David Turnbull , AOM (born October 11, 1973 in Hobart ) is a retired Australian sailor .
successes
Mark Turnbull took part in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney with Tom King in the 470 dinghy . They became Olympic champions ahead of the US and Argentine boats after taking first place with a total of 38 points. In the same year Turnbull and King won the world championship at Lake Balaton .
For his Olympic success he received the Australia Order Medal in 2001 .
