Malcolm George Page , AOM (born March 22, 1972 in Sydney ) is a retired Australian sailor .

successes

Malcolm Page took part in three Olympic Games with the 470 dinghy . In 2004 he finished twelfth with Nathan Wilmot in Athens . The 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing were very successful for both of them : They went into the final medal race as first place , which they also finished in first place. This made them Olympic champions ahead of the British and French boats. At the 2012 Olympics , he went to the start with Mathew Belcher , with whom he finished the regatta in front of the British and Argentine boats in first place, which Page won the gold medal again. They had won five of the first ten races and came second in the medal race .

At world championships he won a total of nine medals in the 470 dinghy, including six gold medals. In 2004 in Zadar , 2005 in San Francisco and 2007 in Cascais he was world champion with Nathan Wilmot, and from 2010 to 2012 with Mathew Belcher. In addition, he won two silver and one bronze medals with Wilmot. He ended his career after the 2012 Olympics.

For his Olympic success in Beijing in 2008, he received the Australia Order Medal in 2009 .
