Frank Huebner (sailor)
Frank Huebner (born October 16, 1950 in Lüdenscheid ) is a German sailor who became Olympic champion in 1976.
In 1967 Hübner became German youth champion with the pirate , in 1969 he became youth champion with the corsair . In 1971 he finished sixth in Finn at the Junior European Championships . From 1972 he started with the 470 dinghy . In 1973 he became vice European champion together with his bow man Klaus Feldmann. From 1974 Feldmann was replaced by Harro Bode . Hübner and Bode won bronze at the European Championships in 1975. In 1976 at the Olympic regatta in front of Kingston , Hübner and Bode achieved three victories and became Olympic champions.
Hübner and Bode sailed for the Sorpesee-Iserlohn sailing club .
