John Thomas Shadden (born May 10, 1963 in Long Beach ) is a former American sailor .
successes
John Shadden took part in the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul in the 470 dinghy . Together with Charles McKee , he finished third behind Thierry Peponnet and Luc Pillot as well as Tõnu and Toomas Tõniste . With a total of 51 points, they received the bronze medal. In the same year they also took third place at the World Championships .
Shadden earned degrees in economics from the University of Southern California , the University of Pennsylvania, and New York University . He then worked in asset management .
