Bryan Linssen (born October 8, 1990 in Neeritter , Limburg Province ) is a Dutch football player . The offensive player is under contract with Feyenoord Rotterdam .

Career

Born in Limburg, Linssen was trained in football in the youth teams of VV Veritas, VVV-Venlo and Fortuna Sittard . About the U19 Fortunas he got into the first men's team of the club in the 2008/09 season and made his debut for them in the second-class Eerste Divisie and thus in the men's area. In the summer of 2009, Linssen moved to league rivals MVV Maastricht , for whom he played 30 of 38 league games and scored seven goals.

At the end of the season, the striker accepted an offer from the first division club VVV-Venlo , where he received a three-year contract. Linssen could not show any goal participation in ten league games and had to compete with Venlo in relegation. Here you could prevail against the second division clubs FC Volendam and PEC Zwolle and thus keep the class. In the following season , the attacker was able to score four goals and prepare five more, but had to compete with the club again in the relegation, but remained again in the league after successes against SC Cambuur and Helmond Sport . In his last year for Venlo, Linssen was a regular player and was on the field in all 39 compulsory games, with ten goals and three assists in the end. However, the relegation could not be avoided this time after two relegation defeats against the Go Ahead Eagles and Linssen left the VVV.

In the 2013/14 season he joined Heracles Almelo, who was twelfth in the previous year . He came from preparation as a regular player, only missed three games and was successful thirteen times in front of goal. His second year was much more successful for Linssen - on top of twelve goals there were ten assists for Heracles, who just kept the league as fourth in the table. He was then signed by the reigning cup winner FC Groningen , for whom he made his first six appearances in the Europa League . Groningen didn’t survive the group stage, but were again among the top eight in the domestic league.

After another season in Groningen, Linssen moved to Vitesse Arnheim and received a three-year contract. As a regular player, he only missed two out of 46 competitive games and achieved his best performance of the season so far with 20 goals and nine assists. He was also represented in the European Cup with Vitesse, but, as with Groningen, did not get beyond the group stage. The striker was appointed Arnhem's new captain for the 2018/19 season . This was followed by 69 more competitive games in the league as well as in national and European cups, in which Linssen contributed 27 goals and eleven assists. The 2019/20 season , which ended prematurely after the 26th match day due to the COVID-19 pandemic , ended Vitesse in seventh place.

Following the season, Linssen signed a contract with league rivals Feyenoord Rotterdam, which was valid until June 2023 .
