Edgar Miguel Ié (born May 1, 1994 in Bissau , Guinea-Bissau ) is a Portuguese football player .
Career
societies
In 2008, Ié moved from Associação Desportiva de Oeiras to the Sporting Lisbon youth department in Portugal . After four years there, he joined FC Barcelona B in 2012 . On December 8, 2012, Ié made his professional debut for the B-team of FC Barcelona. In the 1-1 draw against FC Elche , he came in for Alejandro Grimaldo 10 minutes before the end of the game.
On December 3, 2014, Ié made his debut in the first team when he was substituted on for Jérémy Mathieu in the 63rd minute of the 4-0 win against SD Huesca in the first leg of the fourth round of the Copa del Rey .
For the 2015/16 season, Ié moved to the second team of Villarreal .
National team
Ié has made appearances for the Portuguese U-19 team. In 2012, he played three games during the qualification for the U-19 European Championship in Estonia, but was not part of the selection squad for that tournament because he had previously broken one of his metatarsals in his left foot.
Ié is part of the Portuguese squad at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
On November 10, 2017 Ié debuted as part of a friendly against Saudi Arabia in the senior team .
