Eric Fernando Botteghin (born August 31, 1987 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian soccer player . He has been playing for Feyenoord Rotterdam since 2015 .

Career

Eric Botteghin started playing football for the second team of SC Internacional from Porto Alegre before moving to Gremio Barueri for just half a year in 2007 . In the summer of 2007 Botteghin finally went to the Netherlands on a free transfer and played for PEC Zwolle for the next four years . In total, he completed 140 appearances for Zwolle in the Jupiler League , the second Dutch league, and scored twelve goals. In 2011 Botteghin moved to NAC Breda and from then on played in the Eredivisie . After two years he went to FC Groningen for a transfer fee of 650,000 euros .

In the summer of 2015 Botteghin finally moved to Feyenoord Rotterdam for a transfer fee of 2.5 million euros , where he received a four-year contract. In the 2016/17 season Botteghin became Dutch champions with Feyenoord. For this reason, FC Groningen received a bonus payment of 100,000 euros that was previously agreed upon during the transfer.
