Ingrid Pepperle

Ingrid Pepperle (born March 5, 1935 in Berlin ) is a German literary scholar .

Life

After she was evacuated from Berlin in 1943, Ingrid Pepperle lived with her family in Thuringia and graduated from high school in Dermbach (Rhön) in 1953 . She then studied German , history and education in Jena and Halle / S until 1959 . From 1960 to 1992 she was a research assistant, aspirant and employee at the German Academy of Sciences (DAW) / Academy of Sciences of the GDR (ADW) in the Institute for German Language and Literature / Central Institute for the History of Literature. In 1971 Ingrid Pepperle was promoted to Dr. phil. doctorate, followed by his habilitation in 1990. She worked on the history of German literature from its beginnings to the present in ten volumes (Berlin 1961 ff.), On the Lexicon of Socialist Literature (Stuttgart Weimar 1994) as well as on editions and studies on literature, philosophy, and the aesthetics of the German pre-March , in particular to Georg Herwegh , Hegel , the left Hegelians and the early labor movement . From 1993 to 1995 she worked as a research assistant at the Free University of Berlin in the Department of Modern German Philology.
