Wouter Burger (born February 16, 2001 ) is a Dutch football player . He has played for Feyenoord Rotterdam since his youth and is a young Dutch national player.
Career
society
The midfielder Burger started playing football at amateur club ZBVH in the village of Zuid-Beijerland near Rotterdam . Via Vv SHO and Excelsior Rotterdam he came to the Feyenoord Rotterdam academy for young talent . On March 30, 2017, Burger signed his first professional contract at the age of 16. Initially, he played for the B and later for the A youth, before he played for Tyrell Malacia in the 83rd minute in the 1-1 draw in the second leg in the play-offs of the UEFA Europa League against AS Trencin on August 16, 2018 was substituted on. He made his first appearance in the Eredivisie on the last day of the 2018/19 season . Feyenoord Rotterdam finished the season in third place and also won the KNVB-Beker, whereby Burger was only used in the first round against VV Gemert.
His contract runs until 2023.
National team
Wouter Burger played at least once for the Dutch U15 and nine times for the Dutch U16 national team from 2016 to 2017 . Between 2017 and 2018, Burger played 14 games for the Dutch U17s and took part in the 2018 European Championship in England , in which the Dutch beat Italy in the final on penalties . Wouter Burger made five appearances during the tournament. After two appearances for the Dutch U18 , he has been playing for the Dutch U19 national team since 2018 .
