Grenada , whose NOK , The Grenada Olympic Committee , was founded in 1984, has been participating in the Summer Olympics since 1984. No athlete has yet been sent to the Winter Games. Young athletes have been sent to the two youth summer games that have been held so far.

Two athletes and four boxers formed Grenada's first Olympic team in 1984 in Los Angeles. Boxers Emrol Phillip and Bernard Wilson became the first Grenadian Olympians on July 29, 1984. On August 8, 1984, the long jumper Jacinta Bartholomew was the first woman in Grenada to start. In 2000 in Sydney the first swimmer of the Caribbean country took part.
In 2004 in Athens, Alleyne Francique reached the final in the 400-meter run and finished fourth. In 2012 the first medal was to be celebrated, which was also Grenada's first Olympic victory. Kirani James won the 400 meter final. A Grenadian Taekwondo was launched in London for the first time. In 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, two grenaders made it to the final over 400 meters. Kirani James won silver, Bralon Taplin finished seventh.
Grenada is the smallest state in terms of population that can provide an Olympic champion.
Youth games
Grenada took part in the 2010 Summer Youth Games in Singapore with six teenagers . Boxer Kendel Dowden fought for the bronze flyweight medal, but lost his fight.
In 2014 in Nanjing , four young people took part. The athlete Meleni Rodney won the bronze medal over 400 meters.
