St. Lucia , whose NOK , the St. Lucia Olympic Committee , was founded in 1987, has been participating in the Summer Olympics since 1996. So far, no athletes have been sent to the Winter Games. Young athletes took part in the two youth summer games held so far.

Summer games
Athletes from the Caribbean state have so far participated in athletics and sailing (since 1996) and swimming (since 2000).
The country's first Olympian was the sailor Michael Green on July 23, 1996. The first woman three days later was sprinter Michelle Baptiste.
The most successful was Levern Spencer . The high jumper was sixth in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
Youth games
Five young athletes, three boys and two girls, competed in athletics, sailing, swimming and boxing at the first 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore .
In 2014 in Nanjing , six athletes, two boys and four girls, took part. They competed in athletics, sailing and swimming, and beach volleyball.
IOC member
St. Lucia provides an IOC member. The President of the NOK St. Lucias, Richard Peterkin , was elected an IOC member in 2009.
