St. Vincent and the Grenadines , whose NOK , The St. Vincent and the Grenadines National Olympic Committee , was founded in 1982, has been participating in the Summer Olympics since 1988. So far, no athletes have been sent to the Winter Games. Young athletes took part in the two youth summer games held so far.

Overview

Summer games

The Olympic teams in 1988, 1992 and 1996 consisted only of track and field athletes. Since 2000, athletes from the Caribbean state have also participated in swimming.

The first Olympians were the 800-meter runner Eversley Linley and the triple jumper Lennox Adams on September 23, 1988 in Seoul. Five days later, the long jumper Jacqueline Ross became the first woman in the country to take part in the Olympic Games.

Youth games

Three young athletes, a boy and two girls, competed in athletics and taekwondo at the first 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore .

In 2014 in Nanjing , four athletes, two boys and two girls, took part. They competed in athletics, swimming and beach volleyball.
