Word Coombs

Eswort Coombs (born November 26, 1972 in Kingstown ) is a retired Vincent sprinter .

He achieved his greatest international success in the 400-meter run . In 1995 he won this distance at the Universiade in Fukuoka and at the Central America and Caribbean Championships and came third at the Pan American Games in Mar del Plata . He also finished sixth at the 1994 Commonwealth Games and reached the semi-finals at the 1996 Olympic Games .

He had other international appearances at the World Athletics Championships in 1991 in Tokyo over 200 m and in 1993 in Stuttgart over 100 m and 200 m, but without surviving the heats. Also at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona over 200 m and in the 4 x 400 m relay and in 1996 in Atlanta in the 4 x 100 m relay and in the 4 x 400 m relay overtook him in each case the preliminary round.

Eswort Coombs is 1.87 m tall and had a competition weight of 74 kg. He studied telecommunications science at Ohio State University .
