Mirza Džomba (born February 28, 1977 in Rijeka , Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian handball player who played on the right winger position . In his position he was considered one of the best players in the world.
Career
He came to BM Ciudad Real through the Badel Zagreb and Fotex Veszprém clubs . With these clubs he was a total of 6 times in the final of the Champions League , but could only win the title once with Ciudad Real. In 2007 he returned to RK Zagreb. From the summer of 2010 he ran for the Polish club KS Vive Kielce , where he had to vacate his place after only one season. After Džomba did not find a new club in the summer of 2011, he ended his career.
In the Croatian national team , with which he won a world championship and a gold medal at the 2004 Olympic Games , he was an important pillar. At the 2004 European Championships in Slovenia , where Croatia finished 4th, he was the tournament's top scorer with 46 goals. At the 2004 Olympic handball tournament he was the second best goalscorer.

Mirza Džomba is married to Belma. In April 2012, his wife gave birth to a daughter. In May 2016 he became the father of another daughter.
