Zoran Pančić
Zoran Pančić (born September 25, 1953 in Novi Sad ) is a former Yugoslav rower who won two Olympic medals in double sculls.
The 1.83 m tall Zoran Pančić from the Danubijusa Novo Sad rowing club together with Darko Majstorović took tenth place in the double sculls at the 1975 World Rowing Championships . At the 1976 Olympics , the two came ninth. In 1978 Pančić rowed with Dragan Obradović to eighth place at the 1978 World Rowing Championships . In the final of the Olympic Games in Moscow Pančić won the silver medal together with Milorad Stanulov behind Joachim Dreifke and Klaus Kröppelien .
With 11th place in the double scull in 1981 , 10th place in the double scull with Milan Arezina 1982 and 8th place in the double scull with Milorad Stanulov 1983 , the next few years were not very successful. While the Yugoslav double scull benefited from the Olympic boycott of numerous western states in 1980 , he benefited from the absence of all Eastern Bloc teams except Romania at the 1984 Olympic Games . Zoran Pančić and Milorad Stanulov won the bronze medal behind the US boat and a Belgian double scull.
