Denmark took part in the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow with a delegation of 58 athletes (55 men and 3 women) in 30 competitions in 13 sports.

The Danish athletes won two gold, one silver and two bronze medals. In the medal table of the games, Denmark placed 16th. Olympic champions were the shooter Kjeld Rasmussen in the skeet and the sailors Valdemar Bandolowski , Erik Hansen and Poul Høj Jensen in the boat class Soling .
