Jesper Worre (born June 5, 1959 in Frederiksberg ) is a former Danish cyclist and today's sports director .

Jesper Worre was an all-rounder who celebrated success in road and track cycling . In 1977 he was Danish junior team time trial champion, and in 1980 champion in the same discipline among amateurs . In 1982 he was second overall in the Settimana Ciclistica Lombarda . In 1983 he won the Giro del Veneto , in 1986 the Tour of Denmark and in 1988 the Tour of Sweden and the Tour of the Americas . At the Vuelta a España in 1990 he won a stage. Once, in 1989 , he started the Tour de France and finished 88. He also started in six-day races .

In 1986 Worre finished third in the single pursuit at the World Track Championships in Colorado Springs , in 1987 he was runner-up and in 1988 he was third again. He also started at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow in the team time trial and finished tenth with the Danish team (with Per Kærsgaard , Michael Marcussen and Jørgen V. Pedersen ).

In 2011 Jesper Worre is Secretary General of the Danish Cycling Federation.

In 1992 Worre tested positive for doping . He immediately admitted his misconduct and has since been known for his strict anti-doping policy.
