Carsten Haurum (born July 26, 1956 in Frederiksberg , Denmark ) is a former Danish handball player .

Career

Haurum played in Denmark for Holte IF and in 1982 moved to the German Bundesliga club TSV Grün-Weiß Dankersen . However, he could not meet the expectations placed in him. After 24 goals in 16 games, he left Dankersen and rejoined Holte IF.

The right winger made his debut for the Danish national team on May 19, 1978 in Hamburg in the 15:20 defeat against the reigning world champion Federal Republic of Germany . He took part with the team at the 1982 World Cup and the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow and 1984 in Los Angeles . Haurum completed a total of 108 international matches in which he scored 227 goals.
