successes
Kjeld Rasmussen, who started for København's flight forum , took part in the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal and the 1980 Games in Moscow . In 1976 he finished the games in 14th place. Four years later, he and four competitors achieved the best score with 196 points. In the subsequent jump-off, he hit all goals in the first round, as did Lars-Göran Carlsson and Roberto Castrillo, and thus secured a medal. In the second round, too, Rasmussen did not miss a shot. Since Carlsson missed a target and Castrillo only hit 23 goals, Rasmussen became Olympic champion and received the gold medal.
In 1975 Rasmussen won bronze with the team at the World Championships in Munich . In the same year he became European champion in Vienna .
