Josef Panáček (born September 8, 1937 in Staré Město ) is a former Czechoslovak sports shooter .
successes
Josef Panáček took part in two Olympic Games . At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal , he was initially tied with Eric Swinkels on first place with 198 goals . In the following jump-off he prevailed with 50 hits against Swinkels, who hit 49 goals, and thus became Olympic champion . In 1980 he took 13th place in Moscow with 194 points. After finishing second in 1977, he became European champion in Saragossa in 1980 .
