Henricus Adrianus Joseph "Eric" Swinkels (born March 30, 1949 in Best ) is a former Dutch marksman in the discipline of skeet .
successes
Eric Swinkels took part in six Olympic Games : In 1972 he finished 35th in Munich . At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal , he was initially level on points with Josef Panáček with 198 hits , in the subsequent jump-off he was finally defeated by Panáček with 49 hits, who scored 50, so that Swinkels won the silver medal. The Olympic Games in 1984 in Los Angeles , 1988 in Seoul and 1992 in Barcelona , he finished in tenth, ninth and eighth respectively among the top ten. In 1988 he was also the flag bearer of the Dutch delegation at the opening ceremony. His last Olympic participation in Atlanta in 1996 , Swinkels finished in 32nd place. In 1975 he became vice world champion in Munich .
