Jørgen Bojsen-Møller (born April 17, 1954 in Stege ) is a Danish sailor .

successes

Jørgen Bojsen-Møller took part in four Olympic Games in the Flying Dutchman boat class . First he formed a team with his brother Jacob , with whom he finished sixth on his Olympic debut in Moscow in 1980 . Four years later in Los Angeles they just missed a medal win in fourth place with 52.4 points overall, the gap to bronze place was 3.7 points. At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 Bojsen-Møller started with Christian Grønborg . They finished the regatta ahead of the Norwegians Erik Bjørkum and Ole Petter Pollen as well as Frank McLaughlin and John Millen from Canada and thus became Olympic champions . With a total score of 31.4 points they received the gold medal. In 1992 he joined his cousin Jens Bojsen-Møller in Barcelona , with whom he also won a medal. With a total of 37.7 points, the two took third place behind the Spanish and US boats and thus won the bronze medal.

Bojsen-Møller secured a total of 13 medals at world championships between 1988 and 2018 and was world champion nine times. He won his first title in Medemblik in 1988 with Christian Grønborg, before winning the title in Newport in 1990 and in Travemünde in 1993 with his cousin Jens. He won all other medals with his brother Jacob, including the gold medals in 2001 in Gilleleje , 2005 at Balaton , 2007 in Los Alcázares , 2009 in Medemblik, 2016 in Steinhude and 2018 in Medemblik. Bojsen-Møller has also been European champion several times.
