Jonathan Dunn McKee (born December 19, 1959 in Seattle ) is a former American sailor .
successes
Jonathan McKee first took part in the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles in the Flying Dutchman boat class . Together with William Carl Buchan he was Olympic champion ahead of Evert Bastet and Terry McLaughlin as well as Peter Allam and Jonathan Richards . With a total of 19.7 points, they received the gold medal. The previous year they had also become world champions in Cagliari . McKee then switched to the 49er dinghy and entered with his brother Charles McKeeto regattas. Together they won the bronze medal behind the Finnish and British boats at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney . In addition, they secured the silver medal at the World Championships in Perth in 1997 , before winning the title in Malcesine in 2001 . McKee competed in numerous offshore regattas, such as the America's Cup or the Volvo Ocean Race 2008–2009 .
McKee graduated from Yale University with an architecture degree .
