Per Kjærgaard Nielsen (born January 31, 1955 in Aarhus ) is a former Danish sailor .
successes
Per Kjærgaard Nielsen took part in two Olympic Games with Peter Due in the boat class Tornado . In 1976 they finished ninth in Montreal before winning the silver medal four years later at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow . With 30.4 points, they finished second behind the Brazilian and ahead of the Swedish boat.
In 1979 they had also achieved second place at the World Championships in Kiel .
