Dragoslav Jakovljević , Serbian Cyrillic; Драгослав Јаковљевиц (born May 4, 1932 in Kragujevac ) is a former Yugoslav boxer.

Career

He was around 1.76 m tall during his competitive career and trained at Radnički Kragujevac . He was 1955, 1959 and 1962 Yugoslavian champion in light middleweight, as well as 1958, 1960 and 1963 Yugoslavian champion in middleweight.

At the World Festival of Youth and Students in Moscow in 1957 , he won the silver medal in the light middleweight division and defeated, among others, Rolf Caroli . He won another silver medal in the middleweight division at the 1957 European Championships in Prague ; he also defeated Gennadi Schatkow and only lost in the final just 2: 3 against Zbigniew Pietrzykowski .

At the European Championships in Lucerne in 1959 he came a. a. with a win against Egon Rusch in the semifinals, where he lost to Nino Benvenuti and won bronze in the light middleweight division. He then took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome , where he was eliminated in the second preliminary round against Souleymane Diallo from France.

He also won bronze in the middleweight division at the 1961 European Championships in Belgrade and the 1963 European Championships in Moscow . He defeated u. a. Emil Schulz and lost in the semi-finals against Tadeusz Walasek and Valeri Popentschenko .
