Burma took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics in the Italian capital Rome with a delegation of ten male athletes in nine competitions in five sports.
The youngest athlete was the boxer Than Tun (19 years and 109 days), the oldest athlete was the sailor Gyi Khin Pe (44 years and 52 days). It was the fourth Summer Olympics for the country.
