Lily Carlstedt

Lily Carlstedt ( Lily Marie Louise Carlstedt , married: Kelsby ; born March 5, 1926 in Søllerød , † June 14, 2002 in Vallensbæk Kommune ) was a Danish javelin thrower .

At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 , she won the bronze medal with 42.08 m behind the Austrian Herma Bauma (45.57 m) and the Finnish Kaisa Parviainen (43.79 m).

After their marriage, she was sixth at the European Athletics Championships in Brussels in 1950 and fifth at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki . At the EM 1954 in Bern , she finished 13th.

In total she was national champion nine times (1947-1952, 1954-1956).
