Thyge Thøgersen
Thyge Pedersen Thøgersen (born November 4, 1926 in Vodder , † February 18, 2016 in Copenhagen ) was a Danish long-distance runner .
Over 10,000 m , he came in 24th place at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki and in 15th place at the 1954 European Athletics Championships in Bern.
At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956, he was eighth over 5000 m . He finished 15th over 10,000 m .
Two years later he was tenth over 10,000 m at the European Championships in Stockholm in 1958 and was eliminated over 5000 m in the preliminary run.
In the marathon he was sixth at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome and seventh at the 1962 European Championship in Belgrade. At the EM in 1966 in Budapest he did not reach the goal.
Eight times he was Danish champion in the 5000 m (1954–1960, 1962), twelve times in the 10,000 m (1953–1964), seven times in the 20 km road race (1951, 1960–1965), three times in the marathon (1962, 1966, 1968 ) and four times in cross-country running (1952, 1957, 1959, 1960).
