Armas Rudolf Taipale (born July 27, 1890 in Helsinki , † November 9, 1976 in Turku ) was a Finnish discus thrower . His greatest success was winning the gold medals in the one and two-armed discus throw at the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm .

Taipale took part in the Olympic Games in 1912 , 1920 and 1924 . After his double success in 1912, he was able to secure silver in the discus throw again in 1920 at the following games.
