At the X. Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1932 , two competitions were held in sport shooting . The venue was the Los Angeles Police Department's shooting range in Elysian Park . After no Olympic shooting competitions had taken place in 1928, the IOC took the sport back into the program, but omitted the previously numerous team competitions.
