Morris "Bud" Fisher (born May 4, 1890 in Youngstown , Ohio , † May 23, 1968 in Honolulu ) was an American sports marksman.
He enrolled in the United States Marine Corps in 1911 and was awarded a prestigious badge for top marksman five years later. In 1920 he took part in the Summer Olympics in the Belgian city of Antwerp and was able to secure three gold medals there - two with the team and one in the individual. At the following summer games in Paris , he won two more times. In addition to his success at the Olympic Games, Fisher set five world records, was six times world champion and won numerous victories at national championships and military championships.
After his retirement from the sport in 1934, he coached the protection of the Marine Corps and trained in Toledo in the US state of Ohio members of the local police to protect from. In 1941 he finally retired, now with the rank of Gunnery Sergeant , but was again obliged to serve as a gunnery instructor during the Second World War .
