Gustaf Vilhelm Carlberg (born April 5, 1880 in Karlskrona , † October 1, 1970 in Danderyd near Stockholm ) was a Swedish sports shooter and Olympic champion .
Carlberg won the bronze medal with the rapid fire pistol over 25 m behind Konstantinos Skarlatos and Johan Hübner von Holst at the 1906 Olympic Intermediate Games . Six years later he won at the Olympics in 1912 in Stockholm with the team in the competitions pistol 50m and small bore rifle 50 m each silver medal. The team included Carlberg's twin brother Eric Carlberg . He also won gold medals with the team in the military revolver and small-caliber 25m - moving target competitions in 1912 . In the individual he also won the gold medal in the competition small caliber 25 m - disappearing target . In the competition he had already won the silver medal at the 1908 Olympics. At the 1924 Olympics he was also able to win a silver medal again in the rapid-fire pistol competition . At the World Championships in 1913 he was the winner with the free pistol .
Like his twin brother, Carlberg became an officer in 1901, both of whom retired from active service as major .
