Raymond Orville "Ray" Coulter (born April 12, 1897 in Hadley , † January 23, 1965 in Mount Sterling ) was an American sports marksman .

Raymond Coulter took part in the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris in five disciplines. With the free rifle he was in team competition together with Morris Fisher , Walter Stokes , Joseph Crockett and Sidney Hinds before the teams of France and Haiti's Olympic champion . In the running deer discipline , he achieved 17th place in single shots and 9th in double shots. In the team competitions he was fifth in the double shot, while he won the bronze medal in the single shot together with John Boles , Dennis Fenton and Walter Stokes. In the games Coulter was in Reims with the Free Rifle Three Positions in with the team champion meters and won bronze in the individual of the Reclining attack than 300 today. A year later he secured the silver medal with the team in St. Gallen in the three-position battle, in 1927 in Rome and 1928 in Loosduinen he won bronze with her in this discipline.

During the Games, Coulter, a professional soldier, held the rank of Gunnery Sergeant . He joined the Marines in 1917 , with whose rifle team he celebrated national and international success
