Scheme of the Irish portal Tombarten

The portal Tomb of Moyree-Commons in the townland of Moyree Commons near Corofin in County Clare in Ireland lies east of Ballyteige Lough (lake) and west of River Castle in a round hill about 10.0 m in diameter. It's one of only four in the Burren . In the British Isles, portal tombs are megalithic systems in which two upright stones of the same height with a door stone in between form the front of a chamber that is covered with a sometimes huge capstone.

The rectangular chamber opening to the east is 2.8 m long and 1.8 m wide. One portal stone is over 3.0 meters high, the other broke off at a height of around 2.0 meters, with its upper part leaning against the taller one. It has two side stones and one end stone, the door stone is missing. The capstone is about 5.2 m long, slipped backwards and lies on the end stone. At the front is a low stone that can be the rest of a small courtyard in front of the entrance. The stone material of the cairn is mainly on the north side, and a stable dry stone wall was built only about 1.0 meters from the Tomb portal.

About 3.3 km south-east lies Wedge Tomb of Caheraphuca .
