Portcullis TrustNet is a group of companies that provides offshore finance services. It is the largest trust company in Asia and one of the largest in the world. The company became known to a broad public in 2013 in the wake of the " offshore leaks ".

history

The forerunner of the group of companies was the Portcullis Group , which was founded around 1990 by Mike Mitchell, a lawyer from New Zealand. In a very short time Portcullis grew and founded branches around the world. In 2004 the company took over the TrustNet Group and was renamed Portcullis TrustNet. The Portcullis Group has a total of 16 branches, including in Samoa , Mauritius and the Seychelles . According to the company, the business focus is on Asia, with the main company headquarters in Singapore.

On the Portcullis website, David Chong presents himself as a trust manager, tax advisor, lawyer, asset manager and bank advisor. Portcullis TrustNet provides tailor-made solutions for moving wealth into tax havens. The branch of Deutsche Bank in Singapore brokered 308 offshore companies through the Portcullis TrustNet Group . In addition to Deutsche Bank, the major Swiss banks Credit Suisse and UBS are business partners of Portcullis as well as the management consultants PricewaterhouseCoopers , Deloitte and KPMG .

In 2004 the company took over the TrustNet Group and was renamed Portcullis TrustNet .

The company became known to the public in 2013 through the unauthorized publication of millions of tax-related documents.
