Porte de Paris (Cambrai)
The Porte de Paris in Cambrai , a French city in the Nord department in the Hauts-de-France region , is a 14th century city gate . The building has been a listed building ( Monument historique ) since 1942 .
history
The Porte de Paris was built in the 14th century as part of the city's fortifications during the Hundred Years War . It has an arched passage between the two semicircular towers. A large guard room with an open fireplace has been preserved on the city side.
