action

In their film, Silke Schranz and Christian Wüstenberg travel from Vila Real de Santo António on the Spanish border to the most south-westerly point of mainland Europe, Cabo de São Vicente. They show beaches in the Algarve and the wild west coast, stroll through towns and villages, explain how champagne corks are made from the cork bark, show how traditional sea salt is harvested in the salt pans and find out at a fruit grower that the most delicious oranges come from Portugal. The filmmakers show the entire Algarve so that the audience knows where it's beautiful - and what can safely be left out. The two were in the Monchique Mountains and on many beaches on the wild west coast up to the village of Odeceixe. With aerial photos of the entire Algarve coast.

The film has been updated, the latest version is from 2018.
