The Taranto Post Office is the headquarters of the Italian Post in Taranto . It was built on the by King Victor Emanuel III. built in 1935 (evidenced by the registered contract of the then Ministry of Communications). The work lasted until 1937 .

The building is 23 m high; but with the side tower it rises another 17 m. Although it has only four floors, it has the typical dimensions of the architecture of the fascist period , which marks the monumentality and allows the view of the Mar Grande .

The facade is to the first floor with limestone from Trani and then with a special plaster covered and artificial stone. On the main facade there are six pillars divided by large panes of glass. Statues of scientists and artists as well as eagles are attached to each column. The large hall inside the building, enriched with high-quality marble, is available to users.

The structure was realized next to the government palace according to the project of the architect Armando Brasini .
