The Post SV Gera is a multi-utility sports club from Gera in Thuringia . He currently has four active departments ( handball , soccer , table tennis , casting ). Most of the handball players play their home games in the Panndorfhalle in Gera. The footballers play on the post sports field, which is also the headquarters of the club.

Departments

Handball

The largest department is the handball department. In particular, the very good youth work in the male area made the Post SV Gera known beyond the national borders. The club tries to train all youth teams starting with the minis. This youth work has always produced good talents who made it to the 2nd Bundesliga or the 1st Swiss League . The club relies on its own offspring in the men's area and has played in the top division of Thuringia (Thuringia League) since the early 1990s. After relegation from the Thuringian League in the 2012/13 season, the first men's team is currently playing in the Thuringian regional league.

Soccer

The football department of Post SV Gera is also a founding member. The department is currently the second largest department of the club. The home ground is the Post Sports Ground in Gera-Bieblach. The footballers mostly played at the city level or at the regional level in East Thuringia . The team currently plays in the district league (9th division). The department is also committed to working with young talent. The department has been co-organizer and host of the Gera vintage tournament since 2013.
