Postcode (Andorra)
In the Principality of Andorra , the postcodes were introduced on March 1, 2004.
The Andorran Ministry of Economy, the Spanish Post Office Correos - Sociedad Estatal Correos y Telégrafos, SA and the French Post La Poste in Andorra agreed on a postal code directory in 2004 to ensure a fast and automated mail distribution system.
The postcodes begin with the letters "AD" followed by a numbering for each municipality that corresponds to the protocol-based ranking of the municipalities. Accordingly, the postcodes are defined as follows:
Parròqia | Post Code |
---|---|
Canillo | AD100 |
Encamp | AD200 |
Ordino | AD300 |
La Massana | AD400 |
Andorra la Vella | AD500 |
Sant Julià de Lòria | AD600 |
Escaldes-Engordany | AD700 |
For users of PO boxes, a number is added to the last position of the respective postcode. Example: PO Box in La Massana is then given as AD40 1 .
Abroad, the new postal codes of Andorra were made known by the Universal Postal Union .
