Escaldes-Engordany is a small town in Andorra .
geography
The place has grown together from the eponymous districts Engordany north (right) of the Valira and Les Escaldes in the south (left of the river).
There are several hot and sulphurous thermal springs, from which the name of the Les Escaldes district is derived. The thermal bath " Caldea " is of high tourist and economic importance for the entire principality and at the same time the symbol of Escaldes-Engordany.
history
The municipality was created on June 14, 1978 by outsourcing from the state capital Andorra la Vella , which connects seamlessly in the west, with the border running in the middle of the streets Carrer del Valira and Vial de la Uniò .

- Engolasters reservoir : with a surface area of 800 m × 300 m, it is the largest lake in the country and is used by anglers and hikers
