Pousse Café

A pousse café is a special way of preparing cocktails and shorts . The individual components of the drink are carefully poured over a bar spoon as they are added so that they do not mix. This creates several horizontal layers. The aim of this preparation is, especially with shooters, that only the taste of the last ingredient comes into its own. This type of preparation is also known as build , in contrast to other drinks that are shaken or stirred .
