Povilas Gylys

Povilas Gylys (born February 14, 1948 in Didžiokai , Rajongemeinde Molėtai ) is a Lithuanian economist, professor and politician , member of the Seimas .

Life

After attending school from 1954 and high school diploma in 1965 at the Molėtai Middle School , Gylys studied industrial planning at the Vilniaus universitetas from 1965 to 1969 and taught political economy at the Faculty of Economics from 1969 to 1989 , and from 1989 to 1992 he headed the chair for production management and international economic relations, from 2000 the chair for theoretical economics .

From 1990 to 2000 he was a member of Lietuvos Demokratieinė darbo partija , since 2012 Drąsos kelias . From 1992 to 2000 he was and since 2012 a member of the Seimas , from 1992 to 1996 he was Foreign Minister of Lithuania .
