The Powerland AG is the German holding company of a Chinese manufacturer, was established in 2003 by leather and textile goods with a focus on luxury women's handbags . These are marketed in China under the Powerland brand of the same name. Under the Sotto brand, the company develops and sells, for example, sports, leisure and laptop bags that are sold in China and on international markets.
history
Founded in 2003 as Powerland Fujian, the company initially produced textiles before starting synthetic leather goods in 2005. In 2007 the company started manufacturing luxury handbags for women. To this end, a cooperation was started with the design studio of Francesco Turchi, who has developed luxury goods for brands such as Gucci , Fendi , Bulgari and Acqua di Parma , among others . The founder Shunyuan Guo holds more than 60 percent of the shares through Guo GmbH & Co. KG.
On June 5, 2015, Powerland AG applied for the delisting of its shares from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange , as the economic benefits of listing on the stock exchange did not justify the expense involved. The share has lost more than 90 percent of its value since it was listed on April 11, 2011. The shares continued to be traded over the counter on the Hamburg Stock Exchange. On July 31, 2015, the company founder Shunyuan Guo's Guo GmbH & Co. KG announced that it would make the remaining shareholders a public takeover offer at EUR 0.80 per Powerland share. The stock exchange listing in Hamburg ended at the end of 2017.
Corporate structure
Powerland operates from two locations in southeast China: Fujian and Guangzhou .
Fujian location
This is where the design and marketing department for Powerland's luxury products is located, most of which are made from real leather. The designs for those products that are made of fabric are also created here. These are also manufactured in Fujian and distributed from there.
Guangzhou location
The entire manufacturing and sales process for Sotto products, which are largely made of synthetic leather, is located in Guangzhou.
Powerland AG
In 2011, the company founded a stock corporation based in Frankfurt am Main for its intended IPO in the first half of 2011 in the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange .

Powerland develops, manufactures and sells handbags, travel bags, suitcases, laptop bags, wallets, purses and other accessories.
Powerland brand
Luxury items are sold under the Powerland brand through 110 own shops and sales outlets exclusively in China. Especially women from the growing Chinese middle class should buy Powerland products.
Sotto brand
In contrast, products in the lower price range are sold to wholesalers, department stores and supermarkets under the Sotto brand, including abroad. Powerland started this business in 2003, and luxury items were only added in 2008.
