Praia de Quiaios
The Praia de Quiaios (dt .: Beach of Quiaios) is a beach above the Cabo Mondego . It belongs to the place of the same name, which is located in the municipality ( Freguesia ) of Quiaios , which belongs to the district ( concelho ) of Figueira da Foz .
It is a wide, light sandy beach that is rarely visited out of season. The beach is also a surfing spot and popular with sport fishermen .
The beach is still hardly known nationwide, but has been developed for tourists. So is u. a. a campsite here, a four-star hotel , and a large number of holiday apartments.
Every year in the summer the international wood rock rock festival takes place here, which is mainly dedicated to stoner rock , doom metal and related varieties of metal and rock music. The eighth edition of the music festival is planned for July 16-18, 2020 . a. the bands Witchcraft from Sweden, Jucifer from the USA and Zaum from Canada.
